Let me give you a simple answer. Affiliate marketing is where you take someone’s product and promote it. In return for promoting the product they pay you a commission off of what you sell. There is no product to make or launch.

As with any new endeavor you need to learn the ropes. I am trying to teach my daughters to ride their bikes. They were not able to do it the first, second or third time. They had to be willing to be taught.

Everyone needs a mentor. There are two basic ways to learn. One is from the mistakes of others and the second is your own mistakes. It is really better to learn from someone else than having to make those mistakes yourself. They can be costly and time consuming.

Well, here is some good news for you. It’s not a get rich quick scheme. It’s going to take work just like anything worth doing. Set up a schedule of when you are going to work on the business and the goals you have for the business. Think like an entrepreneur.

The fourth thing to examine in affiliate marketing for beginners 101 is you must be patient. My mother told me that good things come to those who wait. I hated that saying and really still do. But there is some truth in it. You must be patient in building your business. It’s not going to happen over night. It may take some time. But even if it does, be patient and work the plan. Keep your action plan in front of you and do it one step at a time. If you will do this then you will have success at the end of the day.
